(M) Austin Kippett – almost 18, artist, constantly sketching, skateboarder, intelligent, Zia’s best friend
(F) Lucrezia Moretti – about 75, Zia’s paternal grandmother, in nursing home after accident, uses walker and cane, sharp, witty and together
(F) Angela Lewis Moretti – about 50, Zia’s mother, Lucrezia’s daughter-in-law, appearances are a #1 priority, high-strung, country club denizen
(M) Josh Pearson – 19, 2nd semester college freshman, polished, considerate, well mannered, Zia’s ex-boyfriend, athletic, upper-crust
