Extras wanted for Amazon’s new show “Red Oaks”
Amazon Studios has been hitting it hard this year with 18 pilots that the studio has produced or is in the process of producing, here is one more. “Red Oaks” is now filming in New York City.
RED OAKS is a single camera comedy executive produced by Steven Soderbergh. Also serving as EP’s are David Gordon Green, Greg Jacobs and Joe Gagemi. David Gordon Green will also be directing.
The Amazon show will star Spin City’s Richard Kind and is set in the mid 80’s at a country club. The show is about a 20 something tennis player who takes a job at the Red Oaks Country club in New Jersey as a tennis instructor. Richard Kind will play Sam,y his father who doesn’t like David’s career choices and expects him to become an accountant. After suffering a heart attack and believing he was about to die, Sam confesses some shocking news to his son which makes their relationship a bit awkward. The new comedy is described as “An upstairs/downstairs set at a country club that focuses on the employees and their high-end clientele.”
Casting directors at Grant Wilfley Casting in NY are looking for extras and background talent for the pilot. The show is looking for extras who can pull off a 1980’s upscale country club look as well as people who have cars from that time period.
