UK Film Auditions for multiple roles in “Finding Home”
Location: London, United Kingdom
Type: Film
Perspective Pictures is an online-based film company, which has received 4 million views online and growing. We are currently producing our largest short film to date and will be showcased at all international film festivals. The director, Rupert Rixon, won the award for ‘Outstanding Young Filmmaker’ at the largest UK student film festival with his short film ‘Flip’.
‘Finding Home’ is based around Thomas Hume, a middle-aged man who has returned from the battlefields of WW1. Conflicted by both his experiences and his actions throughout the war, the film explores the concept of morality and whether it’s a reality or a social construct held together by social expectations.
Thomas returns from war and finds it difficult to return to daily life, as well as dealing with the death of his best friend and brother in law, who he murdered in the trenches. The film is set around afternoon tea scenes with Thomas and his remaining family, as well as flashbacks from his experience within the trenches.
Thomas begins to fall in love with his niece who has blossomed physically in his absence. He struggles to make the decision on whether to advance with his feelings towards her or maintain his morality, which has been warped by his time during the war.
We have a competent experienced crew, including a professional VFX artist and a pyro-technician.
– Auditions will be held in London on Saturday 8th November.
– Filming will take place over three days in various locations from Friday 5th November to Sunday 7th December.
– Rehearsals will be held in Hertfordshire in our studio space on the 29th and 30th of November.
