Auditions for the Nashville Shakespeare Festival

The Nashville Shakespeare Festival will be holding EQUITY auditions for Shakespearean actors for the productions of “Twelfth Night” and “As You Like It”.

Please note that these are Equity only auditions.

Auditions are by appointment only and will be held at Nashville Public Television in Nashville TN on the 24th and 25th.

Thursday, April 24, 2014 & Friday, April 25, 2014 from the hours of 10 AM to 6 PM. You must make an appointment before attending, see below.

Pay $450 per week contract – 2 shows with 2 different schedules. One will run through the summer (As You Like It) and the other will be a winter show (Twelfth Night).

TWELFTH NIGHT

Though not “musicals,” the shows will prominently feature live original music and several songs. The director hopes to cast several actors who have basic singing skills and/or instrumental skills. The music piece of the audition is not about how well you sing or play, but how willing you are to celebrate life with music.

Please prepare:
One Shakespearean monologue up to 2 minutes in length. One song written before 1940 (a capella, self-accomanied, or CD player and mp3 hookup available) or instrumental piece on your own
