Auditions for Speaking Lead roles for MGM feature film “Max”

Texas casting directors, Brock Allen Casting are holding auditions across Texas for 2 speaking roles in the MGM Studios feature film “Max“. The roles are for a male and female teen between the ages of 14 and 15. Auditions will be held next week and the following week across Texas. Casting directors will be coming to Dallas, Austin, Houston and San Antonio to audition perspective teen actors.

Please note that they are only seeking actors under 18 years of age for this project.

MGM Studios is producing a new family adventure film called “MAX “. “Max” is about a working dog that is handled by military in Afghanistan . The story is inspired by true events.  “Max” has worked alongside Marines in Afghanistan. After the dog’s handler is killed,  the marine’s family adopts the dog. The dog is also traumatized by war and eventually ends up bonding with and helping the family’s troubled 14-year-old son, Justin. Together they unravel the secret behind his brother’s death and help to pull the family together again.

Austin, Texas: Tuesday April 8, 2014 – 3PM-6PM
Houston, Texas: Thursday April 10, 2014 – 3PM-6PM
San Antonio, Texas: Saturday April 12, 2014 – 12PM-5PM

Character Info:

CHUY – Male; 14-15 years old; Hispanic. He tries to be hard, but is really soft. Funny and extroverted, but self-conscious. He knows that everything about life is awesome. (LEAD) — MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH DOGS.

CARMEN – Female; 14-15 years old; Hispanic. She is Chuy’s cousin. Rebellious and smart, she loves animals and understands them well. She’s grown up with older brothers, so can hold her own with any group of boys she finds herself in the middle of. (LEAD) — MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH DOGS.
