The AMC new series about the revolutionary war, “TURN” is filming now. If you have always wanted to dress up in historic soldier uniforms and sport a white wig, this may be your shot. Arvold casting in Virginia is seeking Caucasian men who look like they could have taken part in the Revolutionary war.
The show is written by Craig Silverstein, directed by Rupert Wyatt and will premiere on AMC in 2014.
Casting directors are especially interested in men with long hair to portray either redcoats or the continental army.
If you do not know what that looks like, you can see the show’s trailer at the end of this notice to get the feel for the show.
The AMC television series “TURN” is filming in the Central Virginia area, and Arvold Casting is seeking paid background who look authentically from the Revolutionary War period. For this episode, we are seeking only Caucasian Men, but welcome other submissions for future episodes.
TURN
Shoot Dates for this season: Now through March 2014, Monday to Friday
Shoot Location: Richmond/Central VA area
We are seeking local background for an upcoming episode to film between January 28th and February 6th. For this episode, we need Caucasian Men:
MEN (especially with long hair) who look proper to the Revolutionary War period. Beards were not popular during the Revolutionary War, and so nearly all of our male roles require men to be clean shaven. Hair long enough to be pulled back into a ponytail (even if there is no actual ponytail beyond that) is very highly desirable.
MEN (Caucasian) of military age to portray Redcoats and Continentals. Long hair is especially desired.
General Notes:
If you have previously submitted for background this project, you do NOT have to submit again to be considered, unless your appearance or availability has changed or you’d like to let us know about any special skills or background relevant to this episode (if so, we welcome an update on the original email string if possible).
If you are local to the area, fit the above guidelines and are dying to play a redcoat you can follow this link to submit your information to the project.
