The CHAMÄLEON Theatre is one of Berlin’s most successful theatres and a unique place for New Circus in Germany. With only 2 shows per year, the standards and requirements for each production are very high and specific. The responsibility for the artistic direction of the theatre lies with CHAMÄLEON Productions.
Circa is one of the most important and vital contemporary circuses in the world. Since 2006 Circa has toured to 26 countries across six continents. Under the direction of Yaron LIfschitz, its creations are highly innovative genre-bending pieces that stretch the practice and perceptions of circus. In 2013 Circa performed over 420 performances to over 150,000 audience members across 13 countries.
CHAMÄLEON Productions and CIRCA Contemporary Circus and its Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz are planning to coproduce a new show that features contemporary circus and live music for the second part of 2014 that will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the CHAMÄLEON Theatre.
The creation process will take place in Berlin between June and August and the show’s run at the CHAMÄLEON theatre will start on August, 28 and end on February 22, 2015. Shows are running 7 times a week on 6 days with 1 off day and 1 double-show day. All performers will be fully employed in Germany by CHAMÄLEON Productions.
