Miracle on 34th Street The Musical Auditions

Come audition for SALT Performing Arts exciting production of the beloved Christmas classic: Miracle on 34th Street The Musical.
Auditions are located at the theatre (1645 Art School Rd. Chester Springs, PA) on Sunday, October 19th. 2:30PM = Children ages 6-15
4:00PM = Ages 16-Adults
All auditioners are required to sing, act, and dance. Singing: Please prepare a verse/chorus from a Broadway musical. Bring sheet music or an accompaniment CD, a pianist and CD player will be provided. Acting: Be ready to perform a 30-45 second monologue from a published production. Dance: Wear clothing you can move comfortably in and be prepared to learn a phrase of choreography from the show.
Rehearsals begin October 28th and run Tuesday and Sunday evenings; tech week rehearsals will be Dec. 1-4. The show opens December 5th, and performs Dec 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 14th.

DORIS WALKER Special Event Coordinator for Macy’s Department Store. She is a driven career woman and free thinker who has recently divorced. Hard-working and cynical. Female, 30-40 yrs old Range: F3 – F5
FRED GAILY A handsome Military Captain mustering out into civilian life. Smart, hopeful and warm. Male, 30-40 yrs old Range: Ab2 – Ab4
KRIS KRINGLE Kind old man who believes he is Santa Claus. He embodies all of the classic characteristics of the jolly, friendly, warm-hearted icon. Male, 55-70 yrs old Range: B2 – E4
MARVIN SHELLHAMMER An aggressive but somewhat bungling junior executive and the head of Public Relations. Male, 30-40 yrs old Range: C3 – F#4
R.H. MACY The boss of Macy’s. Very concerned with public opinion. Male, 45-65 yrs old Range: Bb2 – E4
SUSAN WALKER Daughter to Dorris. She is wise beyond her years and a self-sufficient city girl. Female, 6-9 yrs old Range: G3 – Eb5
ENSEMBLE (about 15 people, variety of ages, many are small speaking parts, several should be strong dancers) SHOPPERS, CHILDREN, CITIZENS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, TOWNSPEOPLE
