‘Real/People’ is the story of two European couples falling in and out of love with each other and the lives (and lies) they’ve built for themselves. It challenges the foundation of reality on which all relationships are built and the futility of fighting all that’s bizarre about life.
Please come in with one 90 second comedic monologue and one other monologue of your choice. We may ask you to read sides from the script.
PLEASE do not come in with any sort of accent, this is something that we will work out in the rehearsal process.
If necessary, callbacks will be held on June 29th in the same location, time TBD.
The performances will be in the Madison Street Theatre’s studio space.
Actors will most likely not be paid.
Characters:
Rosie (F)- An average twenty something Scottish woman living in London.
Ben (M)- An American twenty something writer. Handsome and devilishly charismatic. Goes to London to find his muse.
Gemma (F)- A charming British painter. Twenty something.
Jude (M)- A loud-mouthed Brit with very little to show for himself. Twenty something.
Ensemble (M/F)- There are several smaller characters and we are looking to cast at least 4 more actors to play these roles.
