‘Under The Dome’ CBS series open casting call announced

‘Under The Dome’ looking to cast Background actors and extras – Open casting call has been scheduled.

Dreamworks Entertainment and Steven Spielberg are bringing back “Under The Dome” for season 2!

The CBS science fiction series ‘Under The Dome‘ is coming back for a second season in 2014 an the shows casting department has issued a open casting call for series extras.

The casting call is looking to cast paid background and stand-ins for the show when it begins productions in Wilmington shortly.

In a small fictional town in a fairly rural area of the United States, the residents wake up to a mysterious event. Their small town has turned into a fish bowl of sorts when a strange dome shaped force field descends on the town trapping everyone inside and keeping the outside world away.

The invisible force field leaves residents cut off from the rest of the world and the residents are stuck wondering what and how… What is it exactly, who put it there and how are they going to escape. The residents begin a journey of discovery to answer the mysterious questions about the true purpose of the dome while at the same time begin to know their neighbors just a little bit better now that they are stuck with them with no way of escape.

‘Under the Dome’ takes place in the fictional small town of Chester’s Mill in Maine. The massive, impenetrable dome has cut the town off completely, not just of supplies, but also of radio signals, cell service and most forms of communication with the outside world. On the outside of the dome, the military is camping out trying to figure out what it is, where it came from and how to break through it to get to the people that are trapped on the inside.

CBS’s ‘Under The Dome‘ premiered last year and the series is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.

N Casting in Wilmington is handling the extras casting and here it the latest information about how to get on this show:

Casting directors at N Casting have commented “very interested in finding stand-ins for new characters and returning characters. To be considered for a main character you must have full availability. You may not be needed everyday but you could be needed many days a week.”

All extras that are used in the show will be paid $125 for a 10 hour workday. They are only looking for people who live in the Wilmington area where the show will be filming because they will not be paying any travel expenses.

They are especially looking for:
females, red haired Caucasians that are between 5 ft 7 or 5 ft 8.

If you are planning on attending this casting event, be sure to bring a head shot and a full body shot that are 4 x 6. The production will not be taking their own photos so bring photos that you will be able to leave with the staff.
