Universal’s feature film about N.W.A. is beginning production in Los Angeles
Casting calls for paid extras have been released for scenes filming next week. The film’s casting director, Sande Alessi, is looking for African American extras in the L.A. area who have a late 80’s to early 90’s look and hairstyle in the 21 to 30 age group.
The scene filming will be that of a night club. Both men and women are welcome to apply. They are particularly interested in people who are actually from Compton and the immediate surrounding areas. So interested in fact, that they are also looking for a casting assistant from Compton who can help out.
The film is being produced by Ice Cube and others and directed by F. Gary Gray. It will depict the rise of raps most notorious group that brought the world into the reality of theirs through music. Their brutally honest lyrics brought on an entire genre of what became known as ‘gangsta rap’ and of course the ‘parental advisory’ sticker.
You must live in the Los Angeles area to be considered because call dates and times may be announced with little notice and may change often.
If interested, the CD’s are asking that you follow the below instructions to submit your information directly to them.
This film will need tons of paid extras and Sande Alessi casting has written the below paragraph to explain what you can expect to anyone that is new to extra work.
