Filming of “Boardwalk Empire’s” final season is coming to a close.

Casting directors at GWC in New York are looking for male and female extras for the final scenes of the series finale. They are looking to cast African American extras in the New York City area that are available to work on the 15th and are up for a old style hair cut. The extras will be part of a church scene and will be portraying church goers.

Those cast will have a fitting in the NYC area and should have not yet appeared in the series.

Some months back, the Emmy award winning show announced that this would be the show’s final season on HBO.  “Boardwalk Empire“,  is set in 1920’s – 1930’s Atlantic City and focuses on the corruption in the city during prohibition times.  HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” is inspired by the book  Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City, written by Nelson Johnson called.  Steve Buscemi stars in the show as the corrupt politician, Nucky Thompson, anti-hero of sorts.
