Charles Parham – Male, late 20s to mid-30s – leading man type – strong-willed, attractive, determined
Amanda Gardner – Female, 40s to late 50s – Modern day
Woman, intelligent, opinionated, yet compassionate.
Bill Rhodes – Male, 50s – 60s – intellectual, statesman, educator, opinionated
Frank Bartleman – Male 30s, having lived a hard life, vigilant, compassionate
Also seeking African-America actors and actresses of various types to play multiple roles:
Among these:
William Seymour – Male, late 20s to mid-30s – revolutionary, yet compassionate, at times understated, with the ability to be out-spoken and an orator
Simon Seymour– Male, mid- 20s to mid-30s outspoken free man in the Reconstruction South
Phyllis Seymour – Female, mid-20s/30s – sensitive, maternal, strong, should be able to sing well – recently freed
Showcase performance to be held on May 16, 2014. Actors should be available for two to three rehearsals during the week from 7:30pm – 10:00pm and on Saturday afternoons for a three-week rehearsal period.
Be prepared for cold read from script; if you have prepared monologue, we will hear that as well.
