“Get On Up” is still casting extras in Jackson Mississippi. The James Brown biopic has been filming in Mississippi for about a month now and the production is still hiring paid movie extras for scenes they are filming.

Tammy Smith Casting is looking for 2 lovely ladies, 1 Caucasian and 1 African American to play fans that get to meet James Brown backstage.
“Get On Up” is a biopic about the life of the Godfather of soul, James Brown. The film features an all-star cast that includes Dan Aykroyd, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Lennie James, Chadwick Boseman and many others.
The movie is directed by Tate Taylor and 42’s Chadwick Boseman plays James Brown. The film is based the life of the famous singer and will follow James Brown through 3 decades spanning from childhood to his rise to fame and becoming one of the most influential musical figures of his time.
This movie is filming in JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI – Please only apply if you are local to the area – no travel expenses will be covered!
We are looking to book the following
to WORK this FRIDAY NIGHT JANUARY 10th,
IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI
with a FITTING TOMORROW (Wed afternoon or Thurs morning)
We need 2 BEAUTIFUL/HOT women, ages 18 to 30,
1 Caucasian and 1 African American
with great figures to be featured extras in a scene as James Brown as fans waiting to meet him backstage in 1965
Pay for this is $144 for 8 hrs with O.T. after that.
These scene will start in the late afternoon on Friday and could go as late as midnight or so

to WORK this THURS JANUARY 9th, IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI
with a FITTING TOMORROW (Wed afternoon)
CAUCASIAN MEN , ages 25 – 55 to play Record Studio engineers and executives (this will be a small scene and featured more!)
One scene takes place in 1956 and one takes place in 1968
NOTE 1: repeats are ok, but you must not have been featured in any other scene(s)
NOTE 2. You must be clean cut and/or willing to let us cut your hair to period appropriate length. ALSO, we cannot use anyone bigger than as size 38 waist, due to costume sizes available.
