Movie Extras Mississippi
The James Brown Feature Film “Get On Up!” is currently filming in JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI and the production is looking for more extras to fill a large concert scene that will be filming on the 7th.
The scene filming takes place in the early 70’s and production is seeking extras who can look the part. Currently they are seeking Caucasian men and women and African American men ONLY.
The rate for extras is $64 for 8 hrs with overtime after 8 hours.
The film, “Get On Up“, has been filming in the Mississippi area for a few months now and covers multiple decades of the life of The Godfather of soul, James Brown. “Get On Up” features an all-star cast that includes Dan Aykroyd, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Lennie James, Chadwick Boseman and many others.
The movie is directed by Tate Taylor and 42’s Chadwick Boseman plays James Brown. The film is based the life of the famous singer and will follow James Brown through 3 decades spanning from childhood to his rise to fame and becoming one of the most influential musical figures of his time.

Most casting directors only contact you if they book you to work, they just don’t have the time to respond to everyone. Getting cast as an extra is all about having the look they are seeking at the time. Unless the casting notice says to not submit yourself again, you can try sending your info in but they may already have your picture on file and only submit if you fit what they are looking for exactly.
