A new extras call is out for John Krasinki’s “The Hollars”
“The Hollars” is filming in and around the Jackson, Mississippi area this month.
The film is looking for extras to play neighbors and neighborhood kids in a scene that will be filming this coming Wednesday. The film is looking for adults (ages 20 to 60’s) and kids who are 6 to 9 years of age as well as a pre-teen that that is 12.
John Krasinski directs and stars in “The Hollars“, a film about a New York resident who packs up, leaves the Big Apple and returns to his home town. John Krasinki plays John Hollar, a man who returns home when his family needs him. Once home, he reunites with old friends, family and an old girlfriend. Joining Krasinki in The Hollars will be Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect), Richard Jenkins and Margo Martindale.
Krasinki commented about the film in an interview with Screen International where he stated that “This is one of the best scripts I’ve read, period,” he also added this in regards to the writer James C. Strouse, “Jim has written one of the most tough-minded, sweet, funny and accurate stories about family I’ve seen. I am lucky to have a script like this to direct… and to have this cast is simply surreal.”
