“Joe Dirt 2” Casting Call in NOLA

Extras Casting information for new “Joe Dirt” movie

Joe Dirt will be coming back for a sequel, “JOE DIRT 2: Beautiful Loser” is filming this winter in Louisiana.

The film begins production this month on the 17th and will continue production for about 5 weeks. Filming will take place in Slidesll, Covington and Mandeville areas. Central casting Louisiana (Located in New Orleans) is looking for background talent and anyone interested in working as paid extras on the movie can come down to the Central Casting offices in NOLA to register and get their picture taken. The film also has a few immediate needs for scenes filming in 2 weeks. Those include some stand-ins and babies.

David Spade and Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison production company are bringing back the mullet. According to a Deadline story, the new film is being done with Sony’s Crackle. The film is looking at a 2015 release date on the Crackle platform.  Spade will return in the sequel to reprise his role of everyone’s favorite moron. Ex Saturday Night Live writer Fred Wolf will direct “Joe Dirt 2“.

David Spade recently joked about the sequel… “I’m beyond stoked that Joe Dirt will finally hit the screens again on Crackle. I’ve been sleeping in this wig for years and it will be nice to wear it in the daytime again.”
