Info for “Jurassic World” filming in New Orleans – Background talent and extras wanted
Do you love the “Jurassic Park” park series? New Orleans residents have a chance to get into the film as paid background actors because “Jurassic World” is coming to New Orleans in a few weeks.
The film will be beginning production in New Orleans Louisiana next month.
The film will need thousands of extras and has already held some open casting calls in the New Orleans area. Those that missed the open calls can still apply to be extras on the film.
“Jurassic World” is casting for extras of all ages. They are especially interested in families with children and people who have a military look. Casting directors for the project have also stated that they will be doing some very international scenes and would like to see people of all ethnicities.
While in production, the film is using the working title of “Ebb Tide”.
The new film is reportedly not a reboot of the Steven Spielberg original films, the new film in the franchise is supposed to be a continuation of the previous with a new dinosaur park set on another island 2 decades later.
The extras casting directors for the film are Central Casting. They have recently posted the following update for those interested in working as extras on the new “Jurassic Park” feature film.
An update on “EBB TIDE”: We’d still love email submissions for those we haven’t yet met at one of our casting calls or those who haven’t yet submitted by email at: louisiana@centralcasting.com.
We haven’t yet begun our phone calls to begin booking people, but will begin those phone calls very soon.
Remember: We are filming June – August. If we are casting you for a scene the first part of August we won’t call you until the end of July. Thanks everyone for your patience!
“EBB TIDE” is currently filming in Hawaii and all is going well!
The new film is shooting in Hawaii where previous Jurassic Park movies had also filmed but will be moving production to New Orleans in June to film for a few months in Louisiana.

Rolando Bryant is a very vibrant young man who loves and knows everything there is to know about any and every dinosaur who has ever roamed this earth. very energetic and highly intelligent and eager to learn.
I have grown up watching and enjoying Jurassic Park. Crazy enough it has been my dream to live in the age of Dinosaurs, especially be chased by one or more. Since I know that it is impossible at least I can live it as an extra in the movie.
