“Diary of a Teenage Girl” with Kristen Wiig ( The Secret Life of Walter Mitty , Bridesmaids) and Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) is now filming in the San Francisco / Bay area and is seeking paid extras who have 70’s looks.
The film is about a teen artist living in 1970s San Francisco. Minnie, a teen girl old who gets entangled in the hippie culture of San Francisco in the 70’s and gets into a relationship with her mom’s boyfriend.
The film will star British actress Bel Powley as 15 / 16 year old Minnie. “Diary of a Teenage girl is based on the novel by Phoebe Gloeckner. It is a coming of age story that is written and directed by Marielle Heller.

The story is the wrenching diary of Minnie Goetze, a fifteen-year-old girl longing for love and acceptance and struggling with her own precocious sexuality. Minnie hates school and she wants to be an artist, or maybe a speleologist, or a bartender. She sleeps with her mother’s boyfriend, and yet is too shy to talk with boys at school. She forges her way through adolescence, unsupervised and unguided, defenseless, and yet fearless.
They’re filming “Diary of a Teenage Girl” and are looking for extras to be in the movie.
Casting directors are looking with people who have long hair and have a very hippy look. They especially need men with long, shaggy hair that can portray someone who may be from the 70’s.
