Play Summary
Crispin is no ordinary bartender—he’s a mixologist. His art lies in the creation of extraordinary cocktails. But Crispin’s bar has rules: No vodka will ever be served at his bar. Men must wear jackets and they may not approach women. And, you can’t order a drink—you can only tell a story and Crispin will invent a drink for you from your own words.
Crispin’s bar hosts a panoply of characters—burnt-out pastor, Fred, the master storyteller and cocktail connoisseur, Tyler, and Jo, a jaded college-student turned escort. While Crispin helps these patrons escape the mundane aspects of their lives through transformative drinks, he is secretly searching for a long-lost liqueur so rare that it is impossible to find. Or is it?
