The Louisiana Renaissance Festival is gearing up for their 2014 season and the festival will be holding an open casting call and QA session on March 8th for performers who wish to participate in the Renaissance Festival.
The Festival will take place in Hammond, LA. and the festival will also have some free workshops for those attending following the casting call.
The audition date is March 8, 2014
The casting event will be on Saturday March 8th (10:00 AM to 12:00 noon). We will have a presentation and answer questions about being a interactive theater, and our free monthly workshops.
So think about the character you have just been dying to play and come on down to the Faire’s auditions and workshops!

Following, they will offer a workshop which they call – Workshop #1 (creating a character) from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
We will be covering everything you need to create an appropriate character for the Louisiana Renaissance Festival.
The Louisiana Renaissance Festival is a Theatre and a shopping experience all in one. Visitiors can see interactive theater as well as performers in some great costumes.
All ages are welcome. To actually join cast most minors will need to have a sponsor/guardian on cast with them.
The date for the Renaissance Festival 2014 are: Nov 1,2,8,9,15,16,22,23,28,29,30, Dec 6,7 2014.
About the Festival:
The Louisiana Renaissance Festival or LARF is a renaissance fair near Hammond, Louisiana. The festival takes place on a location that emulates a historical 16th century village (Albright) in England during the 1565 fall harvest festival. Cast members are dressed as people would have been dressed during the 1560s.
The cast of the festival comes from all over the state and interacts with the festival goers, there is a lot of fun to be had by all and where else can you get dressed up in your medeival best and actually blend right in!
