Another casting call has been released on Marvel’s Ant-Man.
The film is currently in production in the Atlanta area and is seeking background talent to work in a scene filming next week. The movie’s casting directors are booking Atlanta area residents who are available to work all day and have cars that may be used in the scenes. This will work on Wednesday, the 3rd.
The new Ant-Man will be based on the comic book and will star Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, whose real name is Scott Lang. Ant-Man has the ability to shrink in size, yet increase in strength, an ability he gained after stealing some technology from a scientist named Dr. Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas. Dr. Pym must bring out Ant-Man’s inner hero to help him save the world and protect the powerful technology he created.
Marvel’s Ant-Man has been in development for some time. The project ran into a few delays and changed directors not to long ago. Edgar Wright developed the film for years and was set to direct, but later dropped out. Peyton Reed has replaced Edgar Wright at the helm and the project is now moving forward with production. The scheduled release date for “Ant-Man” will be summer 2015.
