The new Lee Daniels series “Empire” is filming season 1 in Chicago
The show has a new casting call out for African American background actors to work on a “white party” scene that will be filming on the 17th and 18th of this month. They are looking for an upscale look and yes, talent will need to supply their own white wardrobe. The shoot is also looking for some hip hop types in white and people who can dance to a jazz band. Paid extras between the ages 20 to 70 are all needed.
“Empire” is filming season 1 which will be premiering on the FOX network in early 2015. The series stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Gabourey Sidibe . Howard plays a hip hop music mogul at the helm of a family run music empire. Lee Daniels (“Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” “Precious”) and Danny Strong (“Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” “Game Change”) are behind the new drama series which has been described as a sexy, drama filled show.
If you want to attend the “Empire” white party, read on…. Please note that the casting directors do expect talent to send in photos of themselves dressed in the white outfits they would be wearing in the scene.
Casting call #1
For our next episode of “Empire” we are searching for upscale males and females, (20’s to 70’s), especially African Americans, who have upscale white wardrobe (sports coats, shirts, ties, hats, dresses, skirts, pants, etc.) for a fundraiser party shoot. We need people who can dance as there is a jazz band and we want everyone having fun, dancing, mingling, etc. If you can work on Wed. Nov. 19th and Thurs. Nov. 20th, a two day commitment, send your photograph in the white outfit you would be wearing for this party.
WE MUST SEE YOU IN YOUR OUTFIT (ALL WHITE) SO WE CAN SHOW WARDROBE. It can be white, off-white, creme, etc. Send a closeup picture of your face and a full length outfit. We can also have hip hop types so maybe you have a cool all white T-shirt and white pants.

Casting call #2
Searching for African Americans, male and female, 20’s to 70, plus other ethnicities, who can work our “White Party” the date is now Monday, Nov. 17th and Tuesday, Nov. 18th. You will need to come up with an upscale all white outfit for a fundraising party. From suits, to shirts, blouses, pants, dresses, skirts. If you can commit to the two days, please send a picture of yourself in the white outfit you would be wearing with your height, weight, age, and phone number to, empirevips@gmail.com and put “White Party 11.17/11.18”.
