The James Brown movie “Get On Up!” is filming new scenes in JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI. The production is seeking paid background actors / extras of all ethnicities ages 18 to 60 for an airport scene filming next week in Jackson.
The scene being shot is supposed to look like it is 1965 so casting directors are looking for people who can fit into that time frame (men with short hair and ladies with natural hair that can be styled for the shoot).
Those applying should be available for filming next Wednesday and available for a costume fitting on Monday or Tuesday.

We are looking to book the following paid extras:
MEN and WOMEN, all ethnicities
ages 18 to 60 to be Airport passengers and reporters in 1965
AND if selected,
there is a fitting for the costumes are on Mon (1/13) or Tues (1/14)
NOTE 1: Because of the period, we can only have men with shorter hair , bald and women must have natural hair only, that can be styled for the period
NOTE 2: Because of the costume sizes available for 1955, MEN cannot be bigger than a size 40 waist and WOMEN cannot be bigger than a size 14 dress size
NOTE 3: The scene will start in the morning and go ALL DAY, so you must be available the entire day!

“Get On Up” is a biopic about the life of the Godfather of soul, James Brown. The film features an all-star cast that includes Dan Aykroyd, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Lennie James, Chadwick Boseman and many others.
