Open Audition for Exhibit M – New Dance Show

New, high energy, dance show done in a “modern cabaret” style, features 8-10 tantalizing numbers set to a variety of musical genres, showcasing talent with dance, song, style, and live entertainment.
Union/Non-Union: Non-Union
Compensation: $250 per night, stipend paid for rehearsal
Production Length: On-Going – One Saturday per month, two shows per night.
Opening Night: March 21st
Rehearsal: Formal rehearsals begin mid-January. Not all dancers needed at all rehearsals and rehearsal schedule will be created based on the cast’s availability.
Who We Are Looking For: Dancers, MCs, Singers, Multi-Talented Movers. Selected performers are required give a 6 month commitment to the project. Must be 21+ years of age.
Cast Breakdown: ?DANCERS: 6-7 men + 2-4 women of all types and builds with strong grounding in hip hop, jazz, latin, contemporary or other dance styles. Experienced performers with strong athletic build and ability, multi-disciplinary dance techniques, ability to improvise or freestyle a must. Performers with strong acrobatic skills, B-Boy, and capoeira/martial arts strongly encouraged to apply.
SINGERS/PERFORMERS: 1-2 Singer/Comedian/MC, looking for multi-talented individual. Singers of all types, passionate about live performance.
Audition:
DANCE: December 6th, 2014 @ 12:30pm-2:30pm. Registration starts at 12:30, open casting starts by 1pm.
SINGING & PERFORMANCE: December 6th, 2014 @ 3pm, by appointment only. Singers, bring 1 min of current pop song. No piano available, pre-recorded music please. MCs/Comedians, bring in opening monologue with whatever physical bit you may have.
