The historical documentary ’40 Acres and a Mule’ has announced an open casting call for talent in Savannah, Georgia.
The event will be held between on the 23rd and 24th of the month. The project is looking for both Caucasian and African American actors. These are all paid roles.
OPEN CAST CALL FOR A “FORTY ACRES AND A MULE” DOCUDRAMA
The producers of the docudrama ‘Appointment in Savannah: The Untold Story of ‘Forty Acres and a Mule‘ are holding open auditions for roles for 20 African-American males and 5 white males on September 23-24 in Savannah, GA.
The phrase ‘Forty acres and a mule‘ refers to a concept in the United States for agrarian reform for former enslaved African American farmers, following disruptions to the institution of slavery provoked by the American Civil War. – Wiki
Available Roles:
African-American roles are for ministers circa 1865 between the ages of 25 and 70.
White roles are for Union officers between the ages of 35 and 50.
All are paying parts.
The auditions will be held in the offices of Resurrection Life Counseling, 127 Abercorn St., Ste. 305 in Savannah between the hours of 4 and 8 PM on Sept. 23-24.
