An open casting call for extras has been announced in Austin Texas for the Indie feature comedy “My All American”
“My All American” will be directed by Angelo Pizzo, produced by Paul Schiff with Michael Beugg and Bud Brigham executive producing. The extras casting directors for the project are Brock/Allen Casting.
The film is about football player Freddie Stienmark and is set in the 60’s. The casting directors are looking for extras who can play students, ages 18 to 26 as well as football players, parents, protesters, 1960’s cars and others.
Open Casting Call for Background Extras will be held on the 10th in Austin. This is for paid extras and background. The pay will be $58 per 8 hour day.
SYNOPSIS: My All American is a feature film based on a true story about UT legend and the Freddie Steinmark 1969 National Champion Longhorns, directed by Angelo Pizzo, a writer and producer known for Hoosiers and Rudy. The film takes us through Freddie’s life as a young scrappy player on his High School football team in Wheat Ridge Colorado, his transition to an inspirational and driving force as a Longhorn at UT, and his eventual losing battle with a cancerous tumor in 1971.
The film will be shooting this spring & summer from May through July.
