The past few weeks have seen a few new production coming to film in the sunshine of the Miami area. Here is one more…. The new FX series “Hoke” will be filming in Miami and the shows pilot episode is holding an open cast call for extras this weekend!
“Hoke” will star Paul Giamatti as a 1980’s era detective fighting crime on Miami streets while working through the misadventures of his own mid-life crisis. Giamatti will play
Det. Hoke Moseley, a character that appears in the novels written by Charles Ray Willeford III. Det. Hoke Moseley first appeared in the novel, Miami Blues. Yep, the 80’s are coming back to TV and to get that authentic 1980 feel, casting directors are seeking paid extras that whose look is stuck in a time warp.
Do you sport a Tom Selleck stache? Maybe you are still rocking the Farrah Fawcett feather? You may be exactly what Miami casting directors at Marinella casting are on the hunt for.
If you don’t already have the look, it’s probably OK because you can still attain it with enough aqua-net.
“Hoke” casting directors are seeking the following:
- Farrah Fawcett or Peggy Fleming-esque hairstyles
- twins
- redheads
- little blue-haired ladies or old men
- nem with perms and mustaches
- junkie types
- real medical staff
- people in law enforcement, police, etc.
- People with old cars (pre 1980)
The production is looking for “authentic” looks, so start digging through your attic for mom’s old Jordache jeans.
