Open casting call for Fairleigh Dickinson University student film “Walk in the Shadow” to be shot in February 2015.
Project Synopsis: Marcus Brand is a young and ambitious member of a criminal syndicate based in a pleasant New Jersey suburb. In a fit of rage, he kills one of his superiors. A mysterious suited man begins to follow Marcus soon afterwards. Marcus’ paranoia rapidly increases, to the point where his fear of the suited man begins to dangerously overpower the fear of his fellow criminals discovering the truth about the murder.
SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES
Marcus Brand (Lead): Male 18-30. Low-ranking member of crime syndicate. Ambitious, moody, and a budding alcoholic. The frequent appearances of the mysterious suited man cause him to become increasingly paranoid.
Walt Thorpe (Supporting): Male 18-35. Crime syndicate lieutenant. Calm and practical, with a bit of a cynical streak. Unaware that Marcus is responsible, he wants to find out who killed Eddie. Must be able to drive a car and have valid driver’s license.
Patrick Lynch (Supporting): Male 30-50. Suburban crime boss. Outwardly stern, but paternal and a bit scholarly. Eddie’s murder troubles him, but the potential he sees in Marcus distracts him and clouds his judgment.
Eddie Breeg (Supporting): Male 18-30. Crime syndicate captain. Self-entitled and overbearing to those beneath him, but sycophantic towards superiors. Soon after taking credit for a drug deal Marcus organized, Eddie’s behavior pushes Marcus’ anger to the breaking point.
The Suited Man (Supporting): Male 18-75. A suspicious-looking, intimidating and sinister individual. He appears to shadow Marcus after Eddie is murdered. He never speaks to Marcus, and initially does not even acknowledge Marcus’ presence. Electronic submissions preferred, attendance of auditions not necessary.
Open auditions to be held December 6th between 2-6 PM and December 7th between 2-6 PM in the Rec Center of Fairleigh Dickinson University, 285 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ, 07940

Compensation will include travel expenses, meals, film credit, and a copy of the finished film.
