“Glassfire”

A calm evening of glass work is disrupted when a hidden stalker jumps a lone father and son in their
glassblowing studio; a terrifying moment that forces the father to face the actions of his past.

ATTACKER (40s): Caucasian. Furious, intimidating, and explosive. A complex between dark anger and longing hope. Whether it’s his bipolar tendencies or emotional turmoil, this character comes across as being marginally insane. Constantly alternates between enraged screaming and sad whispering.
Looks homeless. Scraggly facial hair and long hair is a plus!

FATHER (40s): Caucasian. Straight forward and direct. Gives off the look of a nice gentleman, if a little high class and formal. Though terrified and threatened feeling on the inside, this man clearly knows how to manipulate a conversation to get what he wants. He legitimately cares about his son, but little else other than that.
Looks neat and tidy.

SON (17-23): Caucasian. Quiet and obedient. Slow moving and contemplative. Fit with a runner’s build. The inner conflict in this character’s head makes him a relatable source for the viewer to connect to. Must be very believably shaken up by everything happening. Tears are a plus.
Looks can vary.

***This film will be shot in a hazardous location with extremely high temperature equipment and melted glass. Physical agility and ability to do basic stunts is absolutely crucial. Strong emotional acting and facial expressions are needed.***

AUDITIONS
Will be held in Arlington, TX this Sunday (Nov. 30, 2014). Address, sides, and further details will be emailed if you are considered for a role. *Video auditions may be submitted via dropbox if absolutely unavailable on the 30th.

PRODUCTION DATES
We will be working on Dec. 5-7 in Arlington, TX. The 5th will be rehearsal (stunt coordination, safety guidelines, etc.) and the 6th and 7th will be shooting. *Must be available the entirety of all three days.

COMPENSATION
We are unable to pay anyone for this shoot, but a meal and snacks will be provided, along with DVD copies of the completed project. This will be sent to festivals, and we’d love for you to join us every step of the way!

The heavy subject matter and emotional requirements offer a great opportunity to push the limits of your acting ability and make a sharp impact in your demo reel. Plus we’re shooting in a real glassblowing studio!

Indie Feature Film is Casting Lead Roles in New Mexico

Independent Film in pre-production is looking for main cast in NM area.

My name is Thomas Kwiat and I am gearing up for a Feature film. We wont officially start looking at casting until January but I want to get this out early and start striking up interest. We will have various options for Cast and will look at anyone who is appropriate for a role.

“Steve, a Professional Bowler who suffers from cerebral palsy. On the drive back, from a bowling tournament, Steve is involved in a Fatal car crash that takes the life of his best friend and may cost him his own freedom of being able to walk again. At his lowest point in life he finds strength from his friends and family to defy the odds and return to his former greatness as a Professional Bowler.”

Chicago PD Casting Call for Extras

Chicago PD is beginning production on the new season and has begun the extras casting process for the show.

The Chicago Fire (Which also is currently filming and casting extras) Spin-off is coming back for season 2.

Casting directors at Tail Sticks Casting are now accepting submission for talent who would like to work on Chicago PD as an extra. The show is seeking hospital type extras for scenes filming next week.

Dick Wolf, the man behind the “Law and Order” series is also behind ‘Chicago PD’. The show is a police drama that follows 2 units in the police department. The series airs on NBC and follows the uniformed street cops and the Intelligence Unit team at District 21 of the Chicago Police Department. The series stars Don Kress, Andre Bellos and America Olivo. Dick Wolf is executive producing as are Matt Olmstead (“Chicago Fire,” “Breakout Kings,” “Prison Break“), Peter Jankowski ( “Law & Order” ), Michael Brandt (“Chicago Fire“) and others.

Since the show is a spin-off of “Chicago Fire“, which is filming season 3 now, there has been some crossover episodes. Both shows are filming in the Chicago area and will be shooting in various areas around the city as well as Cinespace Studios.

Chicago PD is filming the new season in the Chicago area and is in need of extras for a scene filming next Monday.

ANTM – America’s Next Top Model Open Casting Calls 2015 – Shorter Models are OK

ANTM is now casting for cycle 22 and tryouts are coming to cities across the US.

A week back the show’s casting directors announced that Top Model would be accepting submissions for the 2015 season of the show.

ANTM is casting both MEN AND WOMEN for cycle 22. Aspiring models in the US will have a chance to try out for the popular Tyra Banks modeling competition shortly. Tyra’s show just released the dates and locations of in person auditions for male and female models. The show will be coming to Fort Smith shortly, on the 6th of next month. In January of 2015 open auditions for ANTM will be held in San Diego, San Francisco, Columbus, Cincinnati and PA. Earlier this week the show announced that Cycle 22 will also not have the usual height restrictions that has prevented petite models from entering the competition. For over 20 seasons, Top Model was mostly for the tall girls, but not in 2015. So, if you are a model on the shorter side…. this may be your chance to compete.

The show’s CD’s made the announcement a few days bask saying…. “Have you been left out of Top Model because U R **ahem** shorter — or taller — than most? Well Ty has REALLY GOOD ANTM news for U… There is NO HEIGHT REQUIREMENT for Cycle 22 CASTING!”

So ladies and gentleman, start practicing those walks and bring on the fierce.

The show normally does an extensive casting tour which comes to big cities and small towns from coast to coast. If your city is not listed, there is a possibility that more locations will be added.
