OPEN CALL: Principal Dance Ensemble Auditions January 25 & 26 in DC

4-8 Paid Dancers will be selected to debut a new work by award winning composer Tony Small at the Kennedy Center in September 2014. Looking for a mix technical dancers (with ballet, contemporary, modern and jazz dancers) are being selected to begin immediate ensemble work and intensive summer preparation. The work was commissioned by the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art with featured artistic direction from world renowned mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves. Featured choreographers include Ray Mercer (Lion King), Oscar Hawkins (Kirov Ballet & Cirque du Soleil) and Alvaro Maldonado (Ballet Teatro Internacional). Several dancers will be hired as summer dance assistants.
