My BFF for the last 14 years has been quite the adventure. She runs a non-profit CALLED TRIBAL OUTREACH MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. I met her the first by phone. Her brother had asked me to be part of a medical team, spending 18 days deep in the Amazon Jungle, treating many Yanomami tribes. She told me later that she had made up her mind that she would not like me. With her brother, they usually did a live interview together to make sure we would be cut out for a trip . Her brother had a crush on me and broke their no. 1 rule, he said I was going, period . We couldn’t have grown up more different but the more we got to know each other, our friendship grew. We travel to NICA, doing humanitarian work at 3 orphanages there. But at night, it was tequila time. There are so many stories but I’ll leave you with this for now.
Thank You,
Cookie Crawford
