ManaSota Films Project, FlyingCar Pictures and Approach Signal are teaming up to produce “Caster’s Blog: A Geek Love Story” as a short film set in Sarasota. We aim to shoot over a couple of weekends in late April/early May 2014.

A socially awkward blogger struggles to win the perfect woman with the advice of his online followers.

Main cast:
RAYMOND CASTER (Mid-Late 20’s) Sincere, shy, introverted, Caster is much more comfortable in his online social network than with real people and relationships. Although clever and perceptive, his neuroses keep him distanced from the life he’d like to have. Unassertive. Gawky, Wears glasses. Think Michael Bolton from Office Space.

SHADOE BEAUPRE (20’s) On first glance, Shadoe looks like your typical fun-loving, easy-going free spirit, a perfect match for Turbo Dan. Get into a real conversation with her, and you’ll find she’s read way more books than you. A humanitarian, Shadoe makes people from all walks of life enjoy being around her. She has blonde dreads.
