Extras casting call in Atlanta, Georgia for new Sony TV series
A new superhero comic based show is coming to Sony’s Playstation platform. Bendis and Oeming’s ‘Powers‘ comic is coming to the small screen.
The show is looking to fill many roles (listed below) including some featured ones. The series will be filming beginning next Thursday the 6th and will film for 5 days which are the 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th and 13th. Talent that applies for the featured roles must be available to work all 5 days as well as be available to attend a wardrobe fitting this coming week. CL casting is also looking to cast additional roles (listed below) that do not need the full 5 day availability and will film on the 4th.
Earlier this year, Sony announced that the new streaming series will hit our TV screens this coming September but moved the premiere date to a later time. According to reports, Sony has ordered 10 episodes of the new live action series.
Bendis and Oeming’s ‘Powers‘, will be the first original series for the new PlayStation network and Sony is rumored to have many more original scripted shows in the works. Recently at Comic Con in New York, Sony debuted the first trailer for the new show.
‘Powers‘ focuses on Christian Walker played by Sharlto Copley (District 9) and Deena Pilgrim played by Susan Heyward. The show is set in a world where superpowers actually exist and is set in Chicago where the pair are police detectives who specifically investigate crimes that are committed by super powered bad guys.
