An AMC television series “TURN” is filming in the Central Virginia area. Casting directors for the series, Arvold Casting are looking for actors who appear to be authentically from the Revolutionary War period for speaking roles. There are 3 speaking roles currently available for the next episode of the show that is filming in the 2nd week of February 2014.
TURN is a spy drama that is based on the novel written by Alexander Rose called Washington’s Spies. The series is about Revolutionary War soldiers who are part of a spy ring during the war. “Turn” stars Jamie Bell as Abe Woodhull, a farmer living in a British occupied area. The farmer teams up with some of his friends to form an unlikely spy ring called the Culper Ring that will eventually help the colonials turn the tides of the Revolutionary War.
The show is written by Craig Silverstein, directed by Rupert Wyatt and will be released in 2014.
TURN is adapted from the nonfiction book Washington’s Spies by Alexander Rose. The story is centered on a band of young soldiers and civilians who were part of the secret spy ring during the Revolutionary War.
TURN is a SAG-AFTRA project for the AMC network.
This episode of TURN will film between February 7 – February 19, 2014
The TV series is set to film through March, 2014 in the central Virginia / Richmond area

Casting Directors are looking for actors to fill the following SPEAKING roles:
WARDEN – 30’s, Caucasian, a British warden aboard the prison ship H.M.S. Jersey. He resists when Robert Rogers questions him about the prisoners aboard his ship. He eventually complies, but not before complaining about the diversity aboard his ship, a snide remark meant for Rogers’ companions who are Native American and African Born. British accent mandatory.
JOSHUA LORING – 40’s, Caucasian, British Commissary of Prisoners, he haggles with Robert Rogers over the price of one of his prisoners. He feigns reluctance at setting free a POW until Rogers names the right price. British accent mandatory.
ADJUTANT – 20’s, Caucasian, a Continental responsible for delivering an urgent report to a superior. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations.
