A Trip to the Groovies
Location: Seattle, WA
Type: Student Films
We are students of the award winning Ballard High School Digital Filmmaking Program in Seattle, Washington working on a policy trailer for Majestic Bay Theatres in Ballard.
Our trailer is a parody of the theater’s original policy trailer called “A Trip to the Movies” that was set in the 50s, about two siblings going to a movie together (link here: http://youtu.be/1TLuQL_LmMk). In “A Trip to the Groovies,” the kids are in their twenties and going to a movie together yet again, but in the new culture of the 70s.
This trailer will be screened before every screening at Majestic Bay Theatres (76 screenings a week) and our Ballard Film Festival, plus be available online.
