Ghetto Film School is holding a open casting call for the first three episodes in a series of six Noir short films.
Pilot “Apt 24” – The project follows a man named Pedro who finds him self on the brink of a violent interaction with his baby mother, before being confronted by a darkness he can’t escape. it delves into the mental psyche of a man breaking down to self destruction after years of a battered lifestyle.
Ep 2 “The Job” – A dark comedy that is an homage to Guy Ritchie’s early film career. It focuses on a Chewy and his friends that are commissioned by Boss Man Aimes, due to their own shortcomings and ambitions, to do a very important job. Chewy must take the lead in order to pay his debt to Aimes.
Ep 3 “The Blind Date” – A hapless stoner is mistaken for a thief by a group of criminals, and is held hostage in a hotel room while he looks for a way to get out and meet an alluring woman for a nightcap.

ROLES:
Pedro Encarnacion “Apt 24”
Male 31-40 Hispanic
A drug user and territory leader, Pedro is a antsy, paranoid individual bent on the world revolving around him. He wants control, and demands it from everybody. However that doesn’t stop his past demons from creeping up on him.
Baby Mom “Apt 24”
Female 25-30 Hispanic
Non- speaking role, that plays as the last straw before Pedro fate. Role might seem small, but it will help progress his demise.
Darkness “Apt 24”
Male 50-60 Hispanic
This role is for those that aren’t afraid to embody the darkness within themselves, it requires comfortability with smoking, and must be able to look the part of dark creepy figure. Shadows must hug your face and make it pop with eerie sensations.
Skinny Guy “Apt 24”
Male 28-35 Hispanic
A drug user who’s desperate for more, comes face to face with his supplier. Ridged facial features. Roughly 160-180 lbs.
Deuce “The Job”
Male 22-30 Hispanic Caucasian
Deuce is Benny’s (Lead character best friend) rambunctious cousin that is an act first/think second kid. He very excited to be working on this job and has no stake in the outcome. Benny is out to have fun but he is not very good at taking directions. Deuce is 5’7” with a thin, wiry frame and a light brown Caribbean complexion
Chilly “The Job”
Male 24-33 Hispanic
Chilly is a friend of both Chewy and Benny (Lead characters). After losing his job at the District Attorney’s office, he decides its time for a career change. He is looking to get the
attention of Aimes to see how can contribute to Aimes’s enterprise. He’s a good
solider to his friends and hopes the job will go smoothly. Chilly is about 5’8”. He a
little pudgy and Hispanic.
Deymos “The Job”
Male 20-26 All
Deymos is the shiftless neighborhood junkie that will steal anything to pawn off for
a high. He is 5’6” skinny and vaguely minority.
Marcus “The Job”
Male 20-26 All
Marcus is the unfortunate cousin of Deymos who is mistakenly taken by chewy and the boys. He is also 5’6” with a similar build and look as Deymos.
Daytona “The Blind Date”
Female 22-30 All
Daytona is a dangerous, powerful, and sharped witted female with a dark history of which we don’t learn much about. She’s a natural born leader, and she runs with a dangerous group who all respect her. She’s very much an old fashioned Noir villain in the style of Norma Desmond, Phyllis Dietrichson, or Gilda. Looking for a Barbara Stanywick, Rita Hayworth, or a Gloria Swanson type.
Driscoll “The Blind Date”
Male 22-30 All
Driscoll is a tall MMA fighter looking kind of guy. He’s commanding and powerful but is secretly full of fear.He respects his boss and fears her, but is not afraid to stand up for himself. Looking for a Keith Jardine type.
Ronny “The Blind Date”
Male 22-33 All
Ronny is a bearded, tattooed man who is very intense. He has a boss he’s loyal to, but spends most of his time stuck in his own world.
Lester “The Blind Date”
Male 22-32 All
Lester is a cool, calm, guy who’s hiding some dark secrets about himself. He’s a friend of everyone to a fault and is involved with some stuff that’s pretty far out of his own depth, and he’s not too aware of it.
Erin “The Blind Date”
Female 20-30 All
Erin is an angelic and serene Red head. She’s flirtatious and alluring, but she’s reserved in a way that exerts power. She doesn’t speak much, but she doesn’t have to.
Housekeeper “The Blind Date”
Female 20-30 All
A housekeeper for a hotel who gets caught up in an intense situation that is far out of her depth.
Aimes’s Muscle 2 Large Men “The Job”
20-45 All
Two large men that don’t speak but stand by Aimes’s side. They are built like linemen and are intimidating.
