On Saturday February 14 at 2 PM we are doing a Staged Reading at the beautiful West Hollywood Library with the themes of Heartbeats: Short Plays about Romance, Bromance and Nomance
Casting: Anne Marie – mid-late 30’s. Pretty school nurse, wife and Mother of a nine year old. Even-tempered and fair and even though she feels and understands her dream-chasing husband Mickey she puts her foot down in a big way when he arranges without her knowledge wants to leave his secure job and homelife to go to Las Vegas and be an “ELVIS” imitator. She has evolved over their marriage a bit quicker than Mick yet she is compassionate and considerate to his ambitions. However, she lives in the realization that the responsibility of their home and their daughter outweighs Mickey’s dreams. She is sympathetic, supporting and understanding but her maturity in this arena forces her to put her foot down.
This is a script in hand reading with one rehearsal for blocking and emotional life. No pay but this showcase is geared to entertainment industry people and this role will allow you to show a wide range and talent.
