New Netflix series is now casting pre-teen and teen actors for major speaking roles in a new supernatural themed show.
Netflix has a new show coming to the streaming service, “Montauk.” The new supernatural thriller comes from brothers Matt and Ross Duffer.
The new show will be holding auditions for child / teen actors in the Southeast. Virginia based casting director, Erica Arvold, is seeking to fill 4 roles (series regulars). The roles call for 2, 12 year old boys and one teen teen girl and boy who play 16 year olds. Auditions will be held by appointment only in the Virginia and DC area next week with callbacks to follow the week after. The casting directors are accepting submissions from talent in multiple states and there may be a possibility of self taped auditions as well. The show will film in the New York area beginning this fall.
There seems to be a recent trend of shows set in the 80’s… This one takes place in 1980, Montauk, New Jersey. Montauk is known for its wineries, beaches and the “Montauk monster” that washed ashore there some years back.
The Montauk story follows the search for a boy who seemed to vanish into thin air. After the boy goes missing, the search for the boy uncovers secret government experiments and what seem to be supernatural forces at work. According to a Netflix press release, Netflix has ordered 8, hour long episodes for the first season. The show is being executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer and will premiere on Netflix in 2016.

The show is casting for the following roles:
- MIKE: Male, Caucasian, 12 years old. Mike is a cute, sweet, moppy-haired kid. SERIES REGULAR
- DUSTIN: Male, Any Ethnicity, 12 years old. Dustin is the “King Geek.” SERIES REGULAR
- JONATHAN: Male, Caucasian, 16 years old. Jonathan is mysterious, quiet, with long hair, pale skin, and a brooding manner. SERIES REGULAR
- NANCY: Female, Caucasian, 16 years old. Nancy, girl-next-door pretty, is a book smart teen who is in the early stages of becoming a beautiful woman. SERIES REGULAR
The show is also seeking Caucasian Males in the 17-20 age range who are musicians or singer/songwriters, if you have acting aspirations and are available for a role in this Netflix series, please submit ASAP (details in link below).
