Auditions in Charlotte and DC for African American Actors

Acting auditions in DC

African American actors needed for two shows to be performed in the Charlotte NC and Washington DC areas this coming spring (March and April)

We have two engagements on the books for “A Change Is Gonna Come” next year in Charlotte, NC (March 11) and Washington, DC (April 22 & 23).

Therefore, I have decided to cast for both main roles and understudies. I am looking for roles in both cities. “A Change Is Gonna Come” is a depiction of domestic violence in an African American church showcased through the eyes of a pastor’s wife (yes, the pastor is an abuser). I am accepting only e-mail submissions at the time which can be submitted to vickielevans@gmail.com. That submission must include a recent headshot and a resume. My main interest is local talent that is passionate by the cause of domestic violence and who are interested in adding to their portfolio an award-winning stage play. These roles are non-equity/non-union.
