Evelyn, 21, had abruptly and irresponsibly left for Los Angeles the day after high school ended without telling anyone (including her parents, best friend and boyfriend). She returns to Milwaukee after an extremely difficult and lonely three years in Los Angeles.

Evelyn (21yrs): A tough, young woman who had been beaten by an unforgiving city and had fallen far lower than she thought possible.

Helen (21yrs):A loyal follower whose life took a drastic turn for the worse when her best friend (Evelyn) disappeared unexpectedly and abruptly. Now married and with a 2yr old son.

Mary (45-55 yrs): Evelyn’s mother. Mary, an Art History professor at the university, is contemplatively frustrated with her inability to confidently mentor Evelyn through her troubled times (including her time in LA).

Henry (45-55 yrs): Evelyn’s father. Henry is an entrepreneur who has worked hard his whole life. Henry is contemplatively frustrated with his long time inability to relate to Evelyn.

Shawn (21 yrs): Evelyn’s ex-boyfriend. A guitar player in a local rock band who has finally started to pick himself up after she left.
