Casting Actors in Cleveland Ohio for speaking roles in supernatural thriller.
The Weinstein Company’s new horror film, “The Bye Bye Man” will be filming soon in Ohio and there is a call out for local actors to fill a few roles.
A casting call is out to fill a few open roles in the supernatural thriller. Cleveland area casting directors are seeking submissions from local actors and auditions will be held by appointment only. See below for role breakdowns and submission information.
The film, described as a supernatural thriller, is based on the short story The Bridge To Body Island, written by paranormal story author, Robert Damon Schneck. While not much information is available about the film, the original story is set in Wisconsin where 3 college kids experienced unnerving events in the 90s. The script for “The Bye Bye Man” is written by Jonathan Penner (Let The Devil Wear Black) and Stacy Title will direct the horror feature. This horror film will be shot in it’s entirety in the Northeast Ohio area and will star Doug Jones, Douglas Smith, Cressida Bonas and Lucien Laviscount.
According to Deadline, TWC-Dimension has acquired the rights to the project. The company is keeping most of the details under wraps for now and there is no set release date, yet. Matthew Signer, EVP Production and Creative Affairs at TWC-Dimension commented about the film calling the script ” fantastic and terrifying .” He also added “There are only a few truly scary and iconic characters within this genre, and we think the Bye Bye Man has the potential to be the next one.”
According to the Cleveland Film Commission, Lillian Pyles Casting is handling local casting for THE BYE BYE MAN

TRINA: (30-35 CAUCASIAN or HISPANIC) Athletic build, and attractive .
JANE: (25-35, CAUCASIAN) Larry’s pretty sister.
RICK: (30-40, ALL ETHNICITIES) Jane’s husband and Larry’s brother in law. A disabled Vietnam vet/wheel chair user.
ANOTHER COP: (40-60, MALE, ASIAN, BIRACIAL OR CAUCASIAN) Working with his police dog.
FIREFIGHTER: (20-50, MALE OR FEMALE – ALL ETHNICICITIES) Must be strong & fit.
FIREFIGHTER #2: (20-50, MALE OR FEMALE – ALL ETHNICITIES) Must be strong & fit.

Hello my name is Ricky Wurm. I’m 23 born Oct. 30th, 6’0 ft in height, 145 lbs. Hispanic American, dirty blonde to brown hair, blue eyes, born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. I work on st. clair at mid America steel athletic build. I love movies and this would be my first audition. I do not have a background in acting. I am very good at drawing though I am kind of a goofball at times but I can be very serious. My friends say I can do good impressions of people. Multi personalities so they told me give it a try for an audition so this is me trying. I also have headshots but I did not know how to upload them. This would be an amazing experience for me taking a chance seeing what’s out there
