Live Actors for Water Crisis Exhibit at 6th Annual Thirst Gala

Location: Los Angeles – MidCity, CA

Type: Educational

THIRST PROJECT raises awareness of the global water crisis and fundraises to build freshwater wells in developing countries. On Tuesday, June 30th, our biggest fundraising event of the year takes place in Beverly Hills. We are building a ‘live-acted, visual exhibit’ of the water-crisis for our guests to observe and embrace the reality of it’s effects. Actors will be positioned on several 2′ H x 4′ W x 8′ L platforms in a ballroom/reception area setting.

AUDITIONS are on Thursday 6/18 between 5-6:30PM (address TBA). Proper attire encouraged but not required.

YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE to perform on Tuesday 6/30 in Beverly Hills from 4PM – 8PM (meal + parking provided) You are invited to stay after for the live awards show (Must bring a change of clothes).

EACH ROLE PAYS $100 FLAT, by check.

MidCity CA Thirst Project

We are CASTING:

(2) Female Actresses to play Adult (30+ looking), Motherly, Classy, Wealthy, Pool-Lounging women. This IS a light speaking-role. Attire: luxurious poolside, one-piece bathing suit, shorts, sun hats, sunglasses, jewelry, platform sandals.

(1) Female Actress to play Teen (14 – 18), Young Mother in outdoor African setting, Walking (in place), Carrying Jerry Can on-head (empty can, attached with headpiece – not required to balance). This is NOT a speaking role. Attire: long-flowing, colorful skirt/dress with African Khanga/Sari wrap + head wrap, barefoot.

(1) Male Actor to play Young Teen (12 – 16), Student in African schoolhouse, Seated on floor, Holding Jerry Can, Struggling/Perplexed look on face (mentally torn between fetching water + getting an education). This is NOT a speaking role. Attire: Solid Color, high-water pants, short-sleeved white button-up + collared shirt, slightly ripped/dirty/torn clothing ok, barefoot.

(1) Adult Actor/Actress to play a Doctor in the Developing-World, International-Aid Worker, Studious, Straight-Faced, Clipboard in Hand, Stethoscope around neck, diagnosing child patient. This IS a speaking role. Attire: straight black or khaki slacks, white lap coat, comfortable/nurse shoes, eye glasses.

(1) Male Actor to play Adult (30+) Father, interior setting of African hut, Kneeling, Sad, Consoling wife by his side, observing sick child. This is NOT a speaking role. Attire: Solid-colored, dull looking pants, loose, solid-colored shirt, tattered looking, sandals.

(1) Female Actress to play Adult (30+) Mother, interior setting of African hut, Kneeling, Sad, Broken-hearted, crying, cradling sick-child. This is NOT a speaking role. Attire: Dull-colored, loose flowing long dress, tattered, sandals.

Only serious applicants, who are available to audition on THUR, JUNE 18TH between 5 – 6:30PM need apply. Please include headshots.
