CONTEXT: Virtual Sports is an indoor laser tag facility featuring a 22,000 sq.ft. set with buildings and rooms to play in. Our “laser guns” are state-of-the-art training weapons (irM4s and pistols) used by the military and police! Once a month Virtual Sports has “Apocalypse Night” where guests travel through a maze and shoot zombies while completing a mission. We’re looking for those zombies and featured actors to bring the experience to life!
TYPES NEEDED: Actors of ALL shapes, sizes and ethnicities are ENCOURAGED to audition including actors of the amputee community. This is a really fun project but we are looking for actors who can stay in character, can be reliable and self-motivated to provide an unforgettable experience to our guests.
ROLES AVAILABLE: (Note: Due to working restrictions, all actors at this time must be over the age of 18 on the date of the performance.)
FEATURED ACTORS: You might be playing a soldier or a civilian or a scientist. These characters need no descriptions as YOU will be bringing them to life with the director. Our featured actors must be able to quickly memorize short 1-2 minute scenes of dialogue. There may be up to 3 different story lines that get triggered by a prop the guest brings to you. You must be able to memorize and perform any of the 3 scenes depending on the prop that is handed to you. You must also have strong improvisational skills as you will be interacting with the guests and must be able to communicate to them in character for the entirety of their time with you.
We are specifically looking for actors:
- Who have excellent improvisational skills
- That consider themselves versatile in acting abilities
- Speak with a natural accent (not all characters will have an accent)
- Are amputees (not all characters will be wounded)
- Can remain in character for long periods of time
- Can be self-sufficient to organize their acting area prior to the event (Putting out props)
Featured actor compensation is $100 per performance night for roughly 6 hours of work. You will receive a 1099 form to fill out and turn in prior to the performance. Must be legally able to work in the U.S. and provide identification.
We will also display your headshot and professional contact info to the public at the event. If you stay with us for several performances we may be able to arrange a camera operator to film your scene as you perform it so that you can have awesome LIVE performance footage for your reel! We are seeking out actors who will play these roles every month and look to reward those who return each month.
ZOMBIE ACTORS: We’re looking for actors who can stay in character and want to scare the snot out of people! We are seeking out actors who can work with the director and featured actors with light choreography to execute dramatic scenes. Actors who want to have fun and can be responsible at the same time will be the most successful actors. All zombie makeup and wardrobe is provided.

I am 16 years old, 6’2 and 150 lbs. I have blue eyes and curly dirty blond hair. I would love to play either a character or a zombie. I live in the Kent area so I am pretty close. I have acted in school plays and also in a short film called loss.
thanks for your time,
Sincerely,
