New York City call for extras
Steven Soderbergh’s “The Knick” is now filming in the New York area and has a casting call out for Asian extras to play Chinese thugs around 1900. Both Union and Non Union talent are welcome to apply and GWC is particularly interested in talent that has long hair. The talent will work on multiple dates between February and May 2015. Please see the photo below for the types needed.
The Cinemax series is set in downtown New York around the turn of the previous century. The show stars Clive Owen as a doctor pushing the bounds at Knickerbocker Hospital during a time when mortality rates where high and anti-biotics were not available. Owen’s character, Doctor John Thackery, is a brilliant surgeon who is secretly addicted to drugs yet leads a team of surgeons and pioneers new methods at the hospital. ‘The Knick’ is being helmed by Emmy-winning director Steven Soderbergh and premiered last summer. Cinemax announced that the show is being renewed for season two which is now filming and will consist of 10 episodes. Season 2 of “The Knick” will premiere in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Seeking SAG-AFTRA/NON-UNION men to portray CHINESE THUG TYPES for the Cinemax series “The Knick”. Especially seeking men with long hair and facial hair.
This takes place in the early 1900s. Fitting in January, works multiple TBD dates bet. Feb – May.
