CW’s new viral outbreak series “Containment” is now in production in the Atlanta area and has a call out for extras.
The new series is filming around the Atlanta area and has a few casting calls out. All roles are paid and the show’s casting directors are only considering extras that are local to the area as no travel expenses are being paid.
“Containment” takes a look at what may happen if a deadly virus was to be unleashed in a heavily populated city. In the series, a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in heavily populated Atlanta. Authorities scramble to create a quarantine in a dense urban area which causes those stuck inside the quarantine zone to fight for their lives. “Containment” takes a look at what happens when loved ones are torn apart and the unlikely heroes that arise out of tragedy. The new series is created by Julie Plec, the creator of “The Vampire Diaries” and it’s spin-off “The Originals” (Which are also filming their new seasons this month in Atlanta and have casting calls out for local extras). The show is based on the Belgian series called “Cordon” and CW officially announced that it picked up the new show a few months back, in May.
“Containment” is part of CW’s 2015 fall line up and should premiere in a few months. “Containment” is written by Julie Plec (“Vampire Diaries”, “The Originals”) and directed by David Nutter. According to the show’s Wiki page, Starring in “Containment” are David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black, George Young, Hanna Mangan Lawrence and Trevor St. John.
