Featured extras wanted in Dallas Texas for the Discovery show “Taking Flight”.

The show will be filming scenes in the Dallas area and is seeking talent to fill various roles, please see the roles listed below. This is for Dallas area talent only.

DALLAS, TX – CASTING NOTICE for Discovery Channel TV series “Taking Flight” (NEW Segment – “Mexican Standoff”)

Tentative Shoot Date: *will be ONE of the following dates so please keep ALL of them open if submitting – Friday 4/3/15, Saturday 4/4/15 or Sunday 4/5/15 (*Yes, we realize this is Easter weekend – Production is aware & is still planning to shoot)
Shoot Location: DALLAS, TX

Pay rate:
EXTRAS – $80.00/10 hours ($8.00/hour)
LEADS – $150.00/day (could be higher up to $200.00/day depending on how featured you are and how many lines you are given
Union Status: Non-Union

US BORDER PATROL: male, all ethnicities, age range 30s-40s, clean-cut, conservative, fit, short hair cut. Should look good in a uniform and look like a Border Patrol Officer (MAY also be upgraded to LEAD role but should be willing to be booked as an Extra) – Tentative work date Sunday 3/5/15
RANCH SECURITY GUARD: male, Hispanic/Latino, age range mid-late 20s-50s, menacing, threatening, scary – Tentative work date(s) Friday 4/3/15 or Saturday 4/4/15 (should have availability on BOTH dates!)
FARMHANDS: male, HIspanic/Latino, age range 18-60, rugged, blue collar, interesting character faces like you work outdoors a lot. – Tentative work date(s) Friday 4/3/15 or Saturday 4/4/15 (should have availability on BOTH dates!)
LEADS: (will have possible scripted and non-scripted lines)
ROBERTO: male, HIspanic/Latino, age range 30s, blue collar, rugged – Tentative work date(s) Friday 4/3/15 or Saturday 4/4/15 (should have availability on BOTH dates!)

PHOTO SUBMISSIONS ASAP via email to: TakingFlightCast@gmail.com with subject line TAKING FLIGHT DALLAS (list role). Submissions MUST include ALL of the following: 2 RECENT photos taken within the past month (one head shot and one full body shot), first & last name, contact number, height, weight, city you are located in and please describe your acting experience or experience relevant to the role. Photos should be of you alone with no one else in photo, NO sunglasses and against a plain/solid color background!! **PLEASE ALSO submit a short (1-2 minute) video of yourself. Does not have to be professional, can simply be shot with your camera phone.

– Video MUST be in .mov., mp3, or mpg format – we can NOT submit Youtube videos.
– Video should NOT be shot into a mirror. You should not be wearing sunglasses.
– Video should have decent lighting and no loud background sounds. Preferably shot against a solid color background.

In the Video please state your FULL name, where you are located and tell us something about yourself so we can get a feel for your personality and how you come across on camera.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE is SATURDAY 3/28/15 at 3:00pm, however earlier submissions are preferred so that we can get your photos in front of the Client quicker! They tend to choose their cast from the earliest submissions received.
