Seeking African-American woman (21-30) for dramatic short film about parenthood, pain, and possibilities. Actress will be handling an infant so must be delicate yet fierce. Ability to cry is a plus. There is a brief make-out scene with no nudity.
SYNOPSIS: Separated, new parents work on regaining common ground in their relationship while teaching their daughter to walk.
ROLE: Umi, a business minded young parent seeking control of her life and its affairs.
GENDER: Female
AGE: 21 – 30
ETHNICITY: African-American
PAY: Transportation expenses refunded, provide lunch during shoot, and a free copy of final film for personal promotional purposes.
AUDITION DATE: This Saturday, February 7th, 2015, 3PM-6PM
Prepare short monologue of no more than 1 minute. Be prepared for cold reading.
