Casting call for teen to young adult actress, 11 to 14 year old boy and an additional actor in his 40s to 50s.

UCF Capstone/Thesis Short Film to be directed by Kirstie Grimaldi and produced by Mickie Garcia. “Imani” will film between Nov 5th and Nov 8th. Rehearsals will be held throughout October.
“Imani” – A young woman is locked away by her father after leaving the family faith.

Available Roles:
Imani: Female, 15-22, ethnically ambiguous. She struggles to stand firm in her new beliefs despite the inhumane conditions she is subjected to because of them.
*Actress must be comfortable with special effects make-up.
Jani: Male, 11-14, ethnically ambiguous. Imani’s younger brother. Wrestles between respecting his father and the fear of what may happen to his sister if the situation continues.
Malcolm: Male, 40-55, ethnically ambiguous. Imani and Jani’s deeply religious father. He seems indifferent to his children but is conflicted by their suffering; despite this, he finds justification in doing what his beliefs tell him is right.
