Auditions for EastLine Productions production of Holiday One-Act play in Wantagh, NY

Auditions will be held on October 17 (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm) and October 18 (5:30 pm – 7:00 pm) for EastLine’s production of holiday one-act plays, “The Gift of the Magi” and “The Fourth Magi”, at the EastLine Theater, located at 2123 Wantagh Avenue, Wantagh, NY, 11793 (just a few blocks south of Sunrise Highway).
Please prepare a Christmas Carol to sing acapella. Scenes will be provided for acting portion of the audition. Actors will be cast in both plays.

“THE GIFT OF THE MAGI” (Cast of Characters):
- Della: 20s, Jim’s young bride
- Jim: 20s, Della’s devoted husband
- Dot and Donna Marie: Della’s sisters, late 20s
- Clarice: 30-40, Della & Jim’s neighbor
- Digsby and Art: 20-30, Jim’s co-workers
- Boot Clerk, Watch Clerk: male or female, 20-50
- Madame Vodskaya: 40-60, must have Russian accent
Note: All characters except Della and Jim are also Carolers. Some parts may be doubled.
“THE FOURTH MAGI” (Cast of Characters):
- Narrator #1, Narrator #2: male or female, 20-50
- Artaban: 30-40s, the fourth Magi, faith-filled man, must be an expressive actor
- Abdus: 20s, friend and admirer of Artaban
- Rhodaspes: 40s, treasury officer, friend of Artaban
- Tigranes: 40s, friend of Artaban, pessimist, skeptic
- Abgarus: late50-60s, Artaban’s father
- The Hebrew: male, 30-40
- Mother: early 20s
- Roman Captain, Soldier: 30-40
- Hebrew Magi: late 50-60s
- Parthian #1, Parthian #2: 20-30s, male
- Young Girl: 12-16
